What you need to do to rent a car from RAI
- INDIVIDUALS
1. Submit Personal Documents: An ID card, driver’s license, and possibly a passport are required. The minimum rental age is 21 years (for business class, higher class, SUVs, and multi-seaters, the minimum rental age is 25 years). The driver must hold a driver’s license for at least 1 year.
2. Provide Employment Proof: You need to present a work contract, pay slip, business card, or other document proving your employment. If you are arriving by flight, you should show your airline ticket.
3. Deposit via Credit Card / Pre-authorization: Financial funds will remain on the client’s account and will be blocked during the vehicle rental.
4. University Students: ISIC student cards / Driver’s age from 21 years – depending on the type of vehicle.
- COMPANIES AND CORPORATIONS
1.Submit Company Registration Documents: Provide an excerpt from the commercial register along with personal documents (ID card, driver’s license, and possibly a passport).
2. Authorization from the Company Director: If the person picking up the vehicle is not listed as the company director in the registration, a power of attorney from the company director is required.
3. Deposit via Payment Card / Pre-authorization: Financial funds will remain on the client’s account and will be blocked during the vehicle rental.
- SELF-EMPLOYED PERSON
1. Submit Personal Documents: An ID card, driver’s license, and possibly a passport are required. The minimum rental age is 21 years (for business class, higher class, SUVs, and multi-seaters, the minimum rental age is 25 years). The driver must hold a driver’s license for at least 1 year.
2.Submit Tax Identification Number Document: Provide proof of your tax identification number or a copy of the extract from the Register of Self-Employed Persons (ZRSR).
3. Deposit via Payment Card / Pre-authorization: Financial funds will remain on the client’s account and will be blocked during the vehicle rental.
- IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Rental of higher mid-range, higher, and luxury class vehicles requires a minimum rental period of 3 days.
- Waiting time is charged at 15 EUR per hour, excluding VAT. Waiting up to half an hour is accepted. If you are arriving by flight, you may claim any fees incurred not due to your fault from the airline.
- The renter must not use the vehicle for towing or pulling other vehicles, trailers, or objects without written consent.
- The rental price does not include refills and fluids. The client is responsible for replenishing: windshield washer fluid, radiator water, coolant, engine oil, AdBlue.
- For each vehicle rental, we allow ourselves to charge a fee for the preparation of the vehicle, in the amount of €10 without VAT.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vehicles. In the case of smoking in the vehicle, we allow ourselves to charge a fee for smoking in the vehicle, in the amount of €250 without VAT. (necessary replacement of filters and deep cleaning of the interior)
- RENTAL PRICES INCLUDE
- Road tax
- Crew insurance in the vehicle – insured by KOOPERATÍVA
- Liability insurance (PZP) – insured by KOOPERATÍVA under a general agreement
- Collision insurance for vehicles in EU countries (deductible amount depending on the vehicle class)
- Provision of maintenance work at our contracted authorized service centers within the Slovak Republic
- In case of an accident, we handle the administrative resolution of insurance claims
- If damage to the vehicle during the rental period is not reported and the police are not called to the scene, the renter will be charged for the full amount of the damage to the car.
- Highway toll sticker for the Slovak Republic
- The client is required to purchase a highway toll sticker for crossing the borders of foreign countries before entering the respective country.
Proof of purchase of this document must be provided when returning the vehicle

Monday – Friday from 8 am to 5 pm
CANCELLATION POLICY – AMOUNT OF CANCELLATION FEE:
For cancellations 1-7 days before the vehicle handover, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total rental price.
For cancellations 8-14 days before the vehicle handover, the cancellation fee is 50% of the total rental price, with a minimum fee of 100 EUR.
For cancellations 15 days or more before the vehicle handover, the cancellation fee is 10% of the total rental price, with a minimum fee of 100 EUR.

Note: We aim for clients who make a firm reservation to ensure that the vehicle is reserved specifically for their needs based on their booking, so they can rely on receiving the vehicle they ordered.
RAI-INTERNACIONAL has been doing its utmost for client satisfaction for 20 years.
In the event of a cancellation, clients can apply the 100% cancellation fee within the following 12 months.
For applying the cancellation, it is a condition that the number of days of the new rental and the total rental price must correspond to the previous booking.
